Mobile operating system uncertainty

As more and more online retailers introduce mobile ecommerce applications, criminal hackers list. Existing mobile operating system is under attack, and as the common PC operating system, sometimes they do not provide the necessary security to support the application for payment.
Current research is primarily directed to secure the mobile payments, but there is a lack of coordination between mobile payment developers, device manufacturers and mobile operating system platform developers. Hacker use the gap created by this lack of coordination.

Beijing-based mobile security services firm NetQin Technology reports that an application called Xwodi, the third party may listen to the phone, is infected more than 150,000 mobile phones in China. Apparently targets mobile malware running on Symbian platform, and monitors the phone by activating the silent conference call feature or microphone.
Protect yourself by not clicking on links in the text messages, e-mails or unknown websites in the browser of your phone display. Set your phone to automatically lock and unlock only if you enter a PIN. Consider investing a service that finds a lost phone, lock and, if necessary, wipe the data and restore the data to a new phone. Make sure you update the operating system of your phone with the latest patch, and invest in anti-virus protection for your phone.
